Nursery

I feel like I am so behind. We will at least have furniture though. I finally decided to go with the stuff that costs less from JC Penney. If I'm not happy I can replace it I guess. At least I won't care if it is chewed on or marked on. I got the crib, long dresser, chest and bookcase. Not sure if I need all that, but I think it can be returned.

Here is a link to what I decided to get. I hope I like it!

Mmmm Orange

I loved the orange drink, too. It is kind of like a REALLY sweet orange drink from McDonald's. Of course I was super thirsty and it was cold. Unfortunately, on the day I had to sit in the office for an hour there were only 3 out of the 8 compressors working in the AC. It was even hotter than normal being hopped up on all that sugar I think. After I left I stopped to get some more orange food... Cheetos. I needed some salty carbs to balance out my day. The no carb lunch was gross and I could wait to get some starch in me!
The rest of the appointment was fine. He said my weight gain and blood pressure were all A OK. I've graduated to appointments every three weeks. That means that his arrival is getting really close and I am so not ready. We have not started the nursery or ordered furniture. I probably should have started looking for that as soon as I found out I was pregnant. I'm the worst about committing to semi-permanent purchases (furniture, cars, etc.). My goal is to get it this week. Someone needs to hold me to that!

The Test

My glucose test for GD is this afternoon. Send prayers my way that all will go well. Hopefully, I won't have to take the 3 hour test. It's also the student's first day of school... not a good day to have to leave a little early. I guess they'll make it without me.

Still Kickin'

I have asked Justin if he wants to feel the baby kick several times. He has felt a little bump a couple of times over the past month. Finally, the other night he was convinced he actually felt a kick. Probably because it REALLY was a ninja kick (or punch). I'm still not really sure what I feel and where, hands or feet, elbows or knees. I guess he is probably still doing somersaults in there.

In other happy news, my mom told me last night that my cousin is having a baby boy! He is due about a month and a half after Evan. Congrats Brad and Tina! I'm looking forward to meeting Braden, too.

Baby Names

Picking a name for this bambino is probably the hardest thing I have ever done! The poor kid is stuck with the name forever if it is no good. I thought I was going to be the one that was difficult, but it turns out Justin was 100x worse. We started looking through a baby name book before we knew the sex and started with girls. We didn't make it to boys until we already knew that he was a he. My friends were kind enough to listen to my woes about deciding on a name and providing feedback, but not too much feedback. I felt better after hearing mostly positive reactions to the name that we finally chose....

EVAN JEREMY RAY

The Evan part came from the very short list of names that Justin would agree to (about 5). The Jeremy part is after Justin's brother, Jeremy. Most of you know that he passed away almost two years ago. This baby boy is even due on his birthday. What a special gift!
